Overall, the music house was as described. Cute idea with the different themed rooms and instruments. The location is great - very convenient to shops, casino, airport, and you can easily get anywhere in the St. Louis area. Most everything was clean and in working order although the whole house could use a good coat of paint. In the scheme of things, not a deal breaker. I arrived late in the evening Wednesday and had a little difficulty getting the door knob to open the door but I was finally able to get in. I noticed the refrigerator had not been cleaned and there was something spilled that worked its way under the drawers. Bedding, towels, bathrooms were clean so I overlooked the fridge. The second day, Thursday, I realized the garbage disposal was not working. The reset button didn’t work and there was no tool to try to fix it. I realized water from the sink was backing up into the dishwasher. Immediately sent a message to the owner. No response. By Friday the smell inside the dishwasher and coming through the sink drain was rancid. Still no response from owner and not fixed. We were in town for a family funeral so weren’t at the house except to sleep. By checkout Monday, nothing had been fixed and the only communication from the owner was checkout instructions that included washing all dishes which I ended up doing in the bathroom sink because I couldn’t use the dishwasher or kitchen sink. Disappointing. I’m glad we were not planning to be there except to sleep.

The Music House was great for our group of couples in town for a long weekend. Very accessible location - next to the winery and on the edge of Historic St. Charles. House was clean, with plenty of room to hang out in the living room or kitchen. Host was great communicator and made sure we had no issues during our stay. Will look to stay there again next time we're in town!
